About Anthony Waire

Anthony Mwangi Waire has 20 years’ working experience in the Kenya Banking sector, where he has helped banks be a force for good in society by playing their part in building ethical organisational culture and fighting financial crime.

Anthony is a Legal, Conduct Risk Management, Whistleblowing, Anti-Bribery and Corruption, AML/CTF and Operational Risk Management expert, having held senior roles at Standard Chartered Bank and formerly Commercial Bank of Africa (now NCBA Bank).

Anthony holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Nairobi, a Postgraduate Diploma in Law from the Kenya School of Law, and a Bachelor of Commerce (Finance) degree from the Catholic University of East Africa. He is also a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), and Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS).

Anthony is passionate about access to justice for all and volunteers his legal services on pro bono basis and is an advocate for financial literacy and freedom.
