About Anthony Waire
Anthony Mwangi Waire has 20 years’ working experience in the Kenya Banking sector, where he has helped banks be a force for good in society by playing their part in building ethical organisational culture and fighting financial crime. Anthony is a Legal, Conduct Risk Management, Whistleblowing, Anti-Bribery and Corruption, AML/CTF and Operational Risk Management expert, having held senior roles at Standard Chartered Bank and formerly Commercial Bank of Africa (now NCBA Bank).Anthony holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Nairobi, a Postgraduate Diploma in Law from the Kenya School of Law, and a Bachelor of Commerce (Finance) degree from the Catholic University of East Africa. He is also a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), and Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS).Anthony is passionate about access to justice for all and volunteers his legal services on pro bono basis and is an advocate for financial literacy and freedom.
